Mirrors for Game Day

Wavemag.com
I love mirrors.  When I was young my house had a wall of mirrors (can you guess how old I am?).  So, needless to say, I was never lonely.  I lived at that mirror and my mother lived at it too... wiping away the stick of my childhood fingers and face.

Fast forward to adulthood I still love mirrors... but not quite this much....

Yes, this is a $2,800 mirror of 2 way glass with a recessed lcd tv in the wall.  If you hurry, you can get this baby before the Super Bowl.  Really?  Do we really need TV's and telephones in our bathrooms!

If I were you I'd take the cheaper option for the superbowl... (Oooo look, I didn't even capitalize it!  Can you tell I'm a musician and not an athlete:) .. take the game time and sit next to hubby with your glue gun and a project like the first mirror.

Easy Peasy...
  • Glue any color cheap silk, plastic fakey, flowers or greenery to your mirror.
  • Prime with a good primer spray paint to even out the colors and make it stick to the plastic.
  • Paint with a fabulous shade of oh... whatever you want!  Heck Valentines Day is coming up, why not a great lovey dovey color that will make your mirror pop!
Here's a similar project I featured before using dried twiggs.

Looking forward to those pitures --it must mean your husband is breaking down when it comes to the paint! Cute project idea.

Hi Chicka!!! I checked out your friends room and you weren't kidding. That is a lovely room...I especially love the wall behind the bed. That must have taken a long time to paint, but well worth it. The rest of her home is lovely as well..I like the way she used red and black without having it become "too much"! Thanks for sharing!!

Hiya Hiya! You know, it's funny you mention the idea of a toy-hiding linky party. I was actually thinking of having an organizing related linky party for the new year, but I was afraid no one would link and I would look like a goofball. If you think people would be interested...maybe we should go for it. I would be willing to host...email me...shabbynest (at) yahoo (dot) com
