My Kitchen Knobs... an Exhibition

You've seen this kitchen transformed into THIS kitchen.......
It was long, and hard, and exhausting and I'm still picking paint out of my hair.
Look at those naked cabinets!  So plain.  They needed a kick... BAM!
BAM! BAM!  How about new knobs... half off from Hobby Lobby no less!  Mamma saved herself a whole lotta dough.
Not quite enough dough to pay for that housekeeper I dream about having, but I outfitted 18 cabinets and 10 drawers on $60.
I used my dinner bell as inspiration for the upper cabinets... you can see it mounted to my end cabinet a few pictures up.
I Heart these pulls.
Really, I think China manufactured them for me.  And this knob...  she's all about flaunting her floral self and being useful.  No more grabbing under the drawer.  Why do we wait to add these details girls?
These are my knocker nobs.  Word to the wise... these are loud.  They are exceptionally cute and that's why they're still here but I finally had to put felt stickers on the under side to keep me from answering my front door every time the cupboard shut.
A showy shot of all my kitchen jewelry together.
Melissa at The Inspired Room is hosting her Procrastinator's Party today and of course I joined up.  I'll join up for the next one when I'm 85 and everthing in this kitchen is complete.  Go check out the many long awaited projects that blogland has checked off their to-do lists!

Don't forget to tune in tomorrow for my preview to my weekend project... all for $15!

I'm sure everyone is completely sick of seeing this kitchen but I still have one more transformation to complete: shelving on both sides of the sink.  Hubby has priced out the materials and because I'm doing this as the cash comes in... I wait.  I'm so excited to show her off someday.... I hope we all live to that day.  I hope I can reach those shelves when I'm 85 and they're finally built.

Hello...

What a lovely kitchen!!! I have watched from the start of this project and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the changes that you've made! Lots of work but it sure has paid off!!! Wow...I really can't believe how different your kitchen looks since you've redone the cabinets...ohh yes, I'm still loving that harlequin pattern!!! Adding those beautiful decorative knobs was the icing on the cake...they just gave the cabinets a finished look! I have seen those pretty knobs at HL for 50% off...so happy that you got them!!! Soooo beautiful...congratulations, my friend!!!

Warmest wishes,
Chari

Maaahvelous, darling! Simply maaahvelous! And I'm not sick of seeing the pictures, yet, either. I'm still contemplating how I can work out something like this in my kitchen.

Did you paint that design on the upper doors? That is a lot of work, if so!!! Great job!

It is gorgeous! I love all the details. What did you use to get the pattern on the upper cabinets? I've never seen anything like it; it is stunning!

I love this! It looks wonderful, I love all the knobs. But I am a little jealous! We don't have Hobby Lobby here in S. Cal.
What a difference in your kitchen. I bet you love to walk into it all the time, maybe not to do dishes but just to look!
Blessings,
Debbie

Love this site. Great to hear about your projects, but mostly, what I enjoy is the SHARING!
I just love to hear about organizing, cleaning, faith and I really need this.
Thanks!

They're perfect! Just what your cabinets needed.

But I really wish you would stop taunting me with all of this Hob Lob love. Hob Lob this. Hob Lob that. I simply can't take it anymore.

Your Hob Lob-less friend

I love the cabinet jewelry! I know what you mean about waiting to put pulls & knobs on. I have purchased some for my cabinets & drawers & was waiting until the cabinets are painted. Which will probably be when I am 85. Why wait? My black knobs & pulls will look good on my oak cabinets. I hate putting my hand under the edge of the drawer to open it up. I've broken so many fingernails because of it. I think I feel a weekend project for my hubby. Thanks for reminding me. And did I read that you used to live in San Diego? I grew up in El Cajon. I now live in Riverside County between Temecula & Riverside.

Wonderful kitchen...I love how you painted the top and bottom cabinets two different colors. I see a man by the bell...hope he's your hubby. Great bell, by the way. What a good idea!
